British military officers to be sent to Libya

Requests for help: Libyan rebels want Nato to intensify its attacks on Gaddafi forces and give them more weapons
The UK said that the might of the U.S. military is necessary if the rebels are to be successful

Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Ati al-Obeidi, warned that sending British troops to Libya may prolong the fighting with the rebels and undermine the chances of achieving peace.

Speaking today at the BBC, Al-Obeidi said the British presence in Benghazi, designed to assist the rebel forces, is a "step back" and proposed a ceasefire to allow civilians to analyze how they want the Libya's future.

The British Government today announced the shipment of several soldiers to Libya to advise the rebels fighting the forces of the Libyan Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, but added that it is not training them.

"We believe that any military presence is a step backwards and we are confident that if these bombings end and there is a real cease-fire, could be a dialogue between all Libyans about what they want, democracy, political reform, constitution, elections. This could not be done with what is happening now (sending military), "said al-Obeidi.

The British advice to the rebels on how to improve communications and how to provide medical aid, but they will not participate in the planning or execution of military operations. This action is necessary to protect civilians in Libya and is compatible with resolution 1973 of the United Nations concerning the protection of the no-fly zone, the British Foreign Minister, William Hague argued yesterday, after announcing the dispatch of the military aid.

The war in Libya is still going on after all these days, rebel forces are finally getting international aid and hopefully this will make this war faster and not longer as some political sectors in Libya assumed.

Gaddafi Continues Offensive; as Rebel Forces Ask for International Aid.

A rebel fires a rocket-propelled grenade from a militia post in Ajdabiya, Libya.

Troops loyal to Muammar Gaddafi maintain its strong offensive on the rebel-controlled area. Libyans revolution has now returned to claim for assistance of the international community to end the slaughter of civilians.
Gaddafi’s forces launched an air and ground attack on the Ras Lanuf oil enclave, some350 km west of Benghazi.
According to a correspondent of the Qatari, aviation loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has bombed rebel positions in the oil terminal that contains dangerous flammable deposits, so that its explosion could have caused a disaster difficult to calculate.
It is unknown whether the Government seeks to recover for the city of Tripoli and the port, or is it just an attempt to test the rebel, with the deployment of ground combat means that so far have proved superior in area to those from the revolutionaries. Militants endured scathing attacks on Tuesday from loyal troops, six air missiles kept cornered the rebels who are trying to defend by all mean Ras Lanuf city. Information by Al Jazeera is talking about 21 deaths in the last hours in the fighting, but the figure is difficult to corroborate.
The consequences of these attacks, in addition to the casualties were the evacuation and exodus of the inhabitants of the oil terminal which has the capacity to export more than 200,000 barrels a day. This off course is affecting every gas consumer in the world, since gas prices have double and even triple in some countries around the globe. On January I was filling up my gas tank with only 30 American dollars now it is demanding for the same amount of gas around 55 dollars. The world is having very important revolutionary instances that have been causing economical issues all over, let’s just hope all these efforts will be for the good of all those feeling pain today.

Gaddafi threatens with "thousands of deaths” if the U.S. enters in Libya

Muammar Gaddafi insisted in a speech broadcast live on state television that he and his forces will fight "until the last drop of blood" to "protect Libya," because, as he said, "the plot comes from abroad."
In his speech he urged the United Nations to send a commission of inquiry to Libya, the scene of an unprecedented revolt.
He also reiterated that he cannot resign because he is not president and cannot dissolve the Parliament and abolish the Constitution. In a room full of dozens of his followers, Gaddafi said "there are no demonstrations or Al Baida, or in Benghazi" and returned to his thesis blame for the riots to al Qaeda.
"We have ordered bombing weapons stores from falling into the hands of Al Qaeda," he said and added that "all began with the entry into the country from various cells" of the terrorist organization led by Bin Laden.
Gaddafi also again lashed out against the international media reports and from "the news from the world through radio and channels that have not sent in Libya."
"In Libya there is no news reporters," he said, contradicting the invitation of Libyan authorities them-selves were enrolled in the international media to report on the field. The media were taken two days ago Zauiya City, near Tripoli, and were confronted with thousands of demonstrators demanding the fall of the regime and Qadhafi's power output.

Democracy is the will of the majority of the people and if this majority does not want their dictator reason is that fence. Gaddafi is not whether it will have weapons of mass destruction, but a person who massacred his people in this way is extremely dangerous  nation. Now that Libya is not an isolated event, a movement that is occurring in many countries and when it gets over in Libya, it will come the time for the other dictatorships.

I hope all these people can make it through.

Nokia Joins Microsoft :Employees in Finland Protest.

Nokia and Microsoft have announced plans to establish a broad strategic alliance that could exploit the strengths and expertise of both parties to create a new global mobile ecosystem according to Nokia’s new CEO Stephen Elop. He said Nokia would use the Windows software platform in its phones as part of the renovation that is taking place in the company.

However, more than a thousand employees of Nokia have gone to the streets to protest against the recent agreement signed between the manufacturer and Microsoft, establishing an alliance of titanic proportions in the telecommunications industry. The protests originated at Nokia’s main offices in the Finnish city of Tampere; where 1,500 workers developing the operating system Symbian stopped working. This behavior is clearly due to possible personnel changes where Nokia could start hiring windows phone engineers and off course those developing the old system (Symbian) would have to go.

These agreements represent a breakthrough for Microsoft after years struggling to establish itself in the mobile phone market. The Windows Phone is holding just 2% market for the first month of the year. This is an alliance born of fear on both sides to be marginalized by Black Berry, Apple, and Google, but it is not a silver bullet. I just think Black Berry, Apple, and Google will keep on being very successful in the following years to come due to the great marketing strategies they use specially with the digital natives which will be the future buyers of such technologies.

Google 3D Virtual Gallery Tours

Google is a gigantic company, which today is not only a search engine, but it also gives us a wide range of services most of which are web-oriented, such as software and even mobile phones. Giant Google is not only in technology but also in web development, innovating and improving constantly. The new very interesting Google’s website is called Google virtual gallery Tours.

UNESCO has listed more than 890 places that the art site considered. In this way, everyone will have access to them virtually with very high quality images. Tools such as Google Maps, and Street View will let us enjoy of 17 art galleries in the U.S. and in Europe with 360 degree panoramic 290 degree horizontal and vertical, to feel like we are right there even though we are not.

What is most impressive of the Google Art Project is the level of detail of the paintings that the museums select to be captured in high resolution. Each of these photographs is more than 7 billion pixels which would be like using a thousand standard digital cameras to capture the image, plus it has used a special technology to appreciate all the detail in your browser, thanks to Picasa.

This is an opportunity to virtually visit these sites of very important cultural content, from the comfort of our home and just by moving the mouse and a couple of clicks. The Art Project is a great idea and an attempt at putting the Internet in the service of culture and art. So if you have not visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art or want to know the works on display at the Van Gogh Museum, do not worry, you can do it anytime.

Anderson Cooper and CNN Crew Attacked by Mob in Egypt

Anderson Cooper Egypt

The situation in Egypt gets worst as hundreds and hundreds of Government supporters arm themselves with anything around in order to defend their president from the opposition.  Ridding camels and horses some of these supporters have been physically attacking not only anti-Mubarak movements, but also any civilian and even journalists.

Anderson Cooper and his CNN news crew were seriously attacked by a Mubarak supporter. Cooper earlier said he was punch 10 times on his head by this subject who later kept moving forward to support his partners. The Network later reported that even though their crew was heavily attacked by these people, no one from his crew got badly injured.

Cooper later gave a more detailed report in the "American Morning" show. The famous CNN reporter said his crew was trying to find a safe area in between pro and anti Mubarak movements but some people just wanted to look for a fight. We were attacked by pro-Mubarak supporters he added.

The indiscriminating attacks to Journalists are something tremendously negative that should not be happening in any place. What type of ideals would take people to go ahead and actually commit crimes in such ways? Clearly this is a demonstration of a real uncivilized society where democracy is not present, therefore everyone should be worried for their own safety.

Egypt Fights for Freedom

The Egyptian opposition, which claimed since the start of the riots to take down president Hosni Mubarak, has raised several degrees their harassment to the regime with the convening of a general strike starting today throughout the country. In addition, opposition leaders have announced a major protest, which has been called "the marchof a million people"to demonstrate their strength and that will take place tomorrow in the streets of Cairo. The opposition, which is mostly of Islamics background, has flouted curfew again and wait in tense calm for the protest tomorrow.

In response to the popular pressure, before appearing on television Mubarak has sent a letter to Shafiq urging him to apply the newly formed government social policies. These include the preservation of subsidies, controlling inflation and expanding employment opportunities. "I ask that you return the confidence in our economy, "he earnestly asked the president to his new prime minister: "I trust your ability to implement economic policies that are consistent with the high people's concerns. "

In the mid time citizens armed with sticks and knives tonight continued patrolling the streets of the country to defend their property, especially in the areas of middle and upper classes, following the call of the local police authorities.
